Dubai’s got a knack for leaving everyone astonished!

If there’s a way to make something the biggest, the tallest, or the flashiest, Dubai’s on it. From insane skyscrapers to futuristic nightclubs and dining spots that are basically Instagram magnets, this city’s on another level.

Adding to its wow factor, one of Dubai’s ultra-luxe resorts just clinched a spot on the first-ever World’s 50 Best Hotels list. So, drumroll please... it’s Atlantis The Royal! Yeah, no big surprises there, especially after its epic launch in January 2023. I mean, how many places can say they had Beyoncé rock their opening night?

This jaw-dropping resort on Palm Jumeirah, designed like a fancy Jenga tower with vertical gardens and 90 freaking pools, is now officially the 44th best hotel on the planet. Plus, it's the only one from the Middle East to make the cut. Atlantis The Royal’s got it all—17 restaurants (yep, including one by Michelin-star chef Heston Blumenthal) and a vibe so plush, it swayed the 580 hotel industry pros judging the list.

The World’s 50 Best lists have been the gold standard for restaurants and bars since 2002, but this year they decided to give hotels a shot. The first-ever World’s 50 Best Hotels list was unveiled during a glitzy ceremony in London last week. Out of the 35 destinations that made the cut across six continents, the grand prize went to Passalacqua in Lake Como, Italy—fancy, right?
